Widjiwagan welcomes all who wish to participate, and annually raises scholarship funds to help make that possible. Financial aid is open to campers and families after the camper has registered and made a deposit to secure the camp session. The application is considered by a committee of board members and former board members, who meet on a monthly basis and factor in the family income, as well as personal circumstances. The families are notified of the award as soon as the committee has determined the need.
